privacy policy
Last updated: 28 August 2026
scope
This policy applies only to nura Mail Review, a private email-management utility authorised by its user. It is separate from the general nura website privacy policy.
what the utility does
nura Mail Review connects to Gmail only after the user completes Google's OAuth consent process. It uses the access the user grants to review mail, organise messages, and prepare drafts. It sends a message only after the user explicitly approves that specific send.
Gmail data it accesses
To carry out an action requested by the user, the utility may access the Gmail message content and metadata needed for that action, such as message text, sender and recipient information, dates, labels, threads, and drafts. It accesses only the account and permissions the user has authorised through Google OAuth.
how data is used
Gmail data is used only to provide the email-management functions described above for the authorised user. It is not sold, rented, used for advertising, or shared for another party's marketing.
The public nura website does not process or store mailbox content. Mailbox data handled by the utility is not sent to the public website.
storage and retention
OAuth credentials are stored securely by the user's local operating system. They remain there until the user revokes access or removes the stored credentials.
Messages and Gmail drafts remain in the user's Google account and are retained according to the user's Gmail settings. The utility does not create a public website archive of mailbox content. Where local temporary working data is created, it is kept only as needed to perform the requested task and remains subject to the user's device and operating-system controls.
user control and revocation
The user chooses whether to grant OAuth access and which actions to approve. Access can be revoked at any time from the user's Google Account security settings, and locally stored credentials can be removed from the user's device. Revocation prevents new access but does not undo actions the user previously approved.
security
The utility relies on Google OAuth and the security protections of the user's local operating system. The user is responsible for keeping their Google account and device secure. No system can be guaranteed completely secure; suspected unauthorised access should be reported promptly and OAuth access should be revoked.
